Newsest UAE Sets Global Benchmark by Giving ChatGPT Plus Free to All

Just when we thought the world of AI couldn’t get any more surprising, the UAE went ahead and did something no one saw coming. They've made ChatGPT Plus completely free for all their citizens. Not a trial. Not a student offer. Literally free for everyone. That’s $20 a month saved per person  and possibly the beginning of a whole new way nations adopt technology.

But this is more than just about saving money. This is about a country making sure its people don’t get left behind in the AI race. While many countries are still debating AI policies, the UAE is already handing it over to its citizens  students, workers, small business owners, and creators  all now equipped with a world-class AI tool.

They’re even building Stargate UAE, a huge AI data center in Abu Dhabi. It’s got support from global giants like Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco  and it’s being done in partnership with OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT. That alone tells you how serious they are.

Honestly, sitting here in India and reading this on Newsest, it makes me wonder  why aren’t we doing this too? Imagine if Indian students could get this kind of support. Or small-town entrepreneurs who struggle with marketing  now they could compete globally. AI shouldn’t just be a luxury for the rich or the West.

What UAE did is futuristic, but also very real. They’ve made AI local, inclusive, and useful.

At the end of the day, it's not about being tech-savvy anymore  it’s about being future-ready. And the UAE? They're already living there.

What do you think  should India take a leap like this too?
